# Upgrade from Plus to Family

> Learn how to upgrade your Craft Plus subscription to the Family plan through the web app.

The Family plan gives you everything in Plus, plus a shared team space and room for up to 6 members. If you're on a Plus plan subscribed through Stripe (web), you can upgrade directly from the Craft web app.

  This upgrade flow is only available for subscriptions purchased through **Craft's website (Stripe)**. If you subscribed through the **App Store**, you'll need to transition to a web subscription first — see [Upgrade from App Store](/en/account-and-subscription/billing/upgrade-from-app-store).

## How to Upgrade

Go to [docs.craft.do](https://docs.craft.do) and log in with your Craft account. You can also start from the [Craft pricing page](https://www.craft.do/pricing), but we recommend using the web app for a smoother experience.

    Click the **My Space** dropdown in the top-left corner.

    Select **Settings** from the dropdown menu.

  <Step title="Click on My Subscriptions">
    In the left sidebar, click **My Subscriptions**. You'll see your current Plus plan details, including your billing cycle and next billing date.

  <Step title="Click Upgrade">
    Click the **Upgrade** button next to your current subscription.

  <Step title="Select the Family plan">
    You'll see all available plans and their features. Click **Get Family** to proceed.

  <Step title="Select Craft Family">
    On the Stripe checkout page, make sure **Craft Family (Annual)** is selected.

  <Step title="Click Continue">
    Click **Continue** to proceed to the payment confirmation.

  <Step title="Subscribe and pay">
    Review the details on the confirmation page:

    * **Amount due today** — a prorated charge based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle.
    * **Payment method** — click **View details** to check or change the card on file. By default, it uses the payment method from your original Plus subscription.
    * **Promotion code** — if you have a discount or coupon code, click **Add promotion code** to apply it before paying.

    When everything looks good, click **Subscribe and pay**.

You'll see a confirmation page showing your new Family plan, the total charged, and your next billing date. Click **Go to my account** to return to Craft.

<Info title="What about prorating?">
  When you upgrade mid-cycle, Stripe automatically calculates the prorated difference. You only pay for the remaining time in your current billing period at the Family rate, minus what you've already paid for Plus.
