# Import from Google Docs

> Import your Google Docs directly into Craft by signing in with your Google account and selecting the documents you want to bring over.

## How to Start the Import

    Open Craft (native app or web).

  <Step title="Start the import">
    Click the **Import** icon at the bottom of the left sidebar and select **Import from Google Docs**. This opens the import page at [docs.craft.do/import/google-docs](https://docs.craft.do/import/google-docs).

## Sign In and Select Documents

  <Step title="Sign in with Google">
    Click **Select Documents from Google Docs** to sign in with your Google account. You'll be asked to grant Craft permission to access the documents you select.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your documents">
    A Google file picker will open where you can browse **My Drive** and **Shared Drives**. Select one or more Google Docs to import. You can select multiple documents at once.

  <Step title="Review your selection">
    Your selected documents will be listed on the import page. You can remove individual documents or click **Select More Documents** to add more.

## Import Your Documents

  <Step title="Choose your destination">
    Select the **Craft Space** where you want your Google Docs to appear. Optionally select a **destination folder** to organize your imported documents.

  <Step title="Start the import">
    Click **Import**. You'll see a progress bar as your documents are imported. You can close the page at any time — the import will continue in the background.

## After the Import

Once complete, you'll see a confirmation with a button that takes you to Craft, where you'll find your imported documents.

## Troubleshooting

    Make sure you granted full access when signing in with Google. Try again and accept all permission prompts.

  <Accordion title="Authorization expired">
    Your Google session has expired. Click **Select Documents** to sign in again.

    Try restarting the import. If the issue persists, contact support.
