Craft’s Education Plan provides free access to premium features for students, faculty, and staff members of academic institutions. Register with your school email at craft.do/education

Eligibility

You’re eligible for the Education plan if you’re:
  • Currently enrolled student
  • Faculty member
  • Staff member of an academic institution
  • Can provide a school-issued email address

Sign Up

New Users

Simply sign up to Craft using your school-issued email address. You can sign up through any Craft app or the web app at docs.craft.do.

Existing Users

If you already have a Craft account with a personal email:

Change your registered email address to your school-issued email

Wait for the activation email

Click the button in the email to activate the plan

Verification

When you register, we check if your email address belongs to an official academic institution. You’ll receive an activation email – just click the button to activate the plan.
If you don’t receive an email within an hour after creating your account or changing your email address, please reach out to our support team.

No School Email?

If your academic institution doesn’t provide an email address, please reach out to our support team to explore other opportunities.

The Education Plan includes:
  • Unlimited documents
  • 250GB storage (50GB per space)
  • Up to 5 spaces
  • 1GB file upload limit
  • 15 lifetime Craft Assistant credits

  • Advanced share analytics
  • Custom domain
  • Ability to invite members to your team (document-level collaboration is still available)

Duration and Renewal

As long as you’re an enrolled student, educator, or staff member, you can stay on the Education plan. Your verification is valid for 12 months, after which you’ll need to re-verify your status. We’ll send you a reminder email when it’s time.

Switching from Paid Plan

Yes, you can switch from a paid plan to the Education plan. You’ll want to cancel your existing plan to prevent unnecessary charges.

Data and Email Changes

Your data is stored in your Craft account and tied to your email address.
If your school email is about to be deactivated, change your Craft account to another email address beforehand so you can still access your data.

Collaboration

You can share documents with anyone and collaborate on the document level. Team plans (Plus, Family, Team, Business) are required to invite members to your team. For student organizations or classroom teams, please reach out to our support team – we can consider your use case for a discount on team plans.

Upgrading

Upgrading from Education Plan to paid tiers is not currently supported. You can subscribe to a paid plan by creating a new team or using a different Craft account.
