Import from Google Docs

Import your Google Docs directly into Craft by signing in with your Google account and selecting the documents you want to bring over.

How to Start the Import

1. Open Craft

   Open Craft (native app or web).

2. Start the import

   Click the Import icon at the bottom of the left sidebar and select Import from Google Docs. This opens the import page at docs.craft.do/import/google-docs.

Sign In and Select Documents

1. Sign in with Google

   Click Select Documents from Google Docs to sign in with your Google account. You’ll be asked to grant Craft permission to access the documents you select.

2. Pick your documents

   A Google file picker will open where you can browse My Drive and Shared Drives. Select one or more Google Docs to import. You can select multiple documents at once.

3. Review your selection

   Your selected documents will be listed on the import page. You can remove individual documents or click Select More Documents to add more.

Import Your Documents

1. Choose your destination

   Select the Craft Space where you want your Google Docs to appear. Optionally select a destination folder to organize your imported documents.

2. Start the import

   Click Import. You’ll see a progress bar as your documents are imported. You can close the page at any time — the import will continue in the background.

After the Import

Once complete, you’ll see a confirmation with a button that takes you to Craft, where you’ll find your imported documents.

Troubleshooting

Access not granted

Make sure you granted full access when signing in with Google. Try again and accept all permission prompts.

Authorization expired

Your Google session has expired. Click Select Documents to sign in again.

Import failed

Try restarting the import. If the issue persists, contact support.
