If you’re currently subscribed to Craft through the App Store and want to switch to a subscription via Craft’s website, this is the process. Your documents and content are not affected.
If your App Store subscription started in the last ~60 days, Apple will often refund it. Consider requesting a refund from Apple before contacting us, so you don’t pay for two overlapping periods. Apple decides each request case by case.

Our Process

Before you can subscribe through Craft’s website, we need to remove the App Store subscription linked to your Craft account. This ensures you can subscribe directly without conflicts.
Subscriptions purchased outside the App Store do not support Apple’s Family Sharing feature. Craft’s web Family plan is the closest equivalent — it supports up to five members invited by email. See Upgrade from Plus to Family.

Steps to Switch

1. Cancel Your App Store Subscription

Cancelling in your Apple ID is what stops Apple from charging you again at the next renewal:

2. Contact Craft Support

Email our support team with the following information:
  • Confirm that you acknowledge and agree to the removal of your App Store subscription from your Craft account
  • Include the email address associated with your Craft account (find it in ProfileSettingsMy Account)
A short message like this works:
Hi Craft Support,

I'd like to switch from my App Store subscription to a web subscription.
I acknowledge and agree to the removal of my App Store subscription from
my Craft account.

My Craft account email is <your-email>.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Your documents, spaces, and content are completely independent of your subscription. Switching providers does not touch them.
No. App Store charges are managed by Apple, and we have no access to them. You can request a refund from Apple.
Family Sharing only works with App Store subscriptions. After the switch, Family Sharing access ends. Craft’s web Family plan offers a similar experience using email invites — see Upgrade from Plus to Family.
We typically process this within one business day of receiving your confirmation email.
Cancelling in Apple ID is what stops Apple from charging you again, so it’s worth doing as soon as you decide to switch. We can remove the subscription on our side either before or after you cancel with Apple.
