Tips for Creating Effective Templates
Start with structure: Define the sections and organization before adding detailed content. This makes the template more flexible. Use placeholders: Include helpful placeholder text like “[Add description here]” or “[Date]” to guide users on what to fill in. Include formatting: Apply text styles, colors, and layouts that match how you want the final document to look. Add helpful sections: Include optional sections that might be useful, even if they won’t always be needed. Users can delete what they don’t need. Test your template: Create a document from your template to ensure it works as expected before relying on it. Keep it simple: Don’t over-complicate templates. The best templates provide just enough structure to be helpful without being constraining.Daily Notes Templates
Templates work seamlessly with Daily Notes. You can set a default template to automatically apply to each new daily note.
Each new daily note will now include your template content, perfect for consistent journaling, daily standups, or habit tracking.
See the Daily Notes article for more details on using templates with daily notes.
