The slash menu (/) is your command center in Craft – it gives you keyboard access to almost every feature without breaking your flow. Whether you’re formatting text, inserting media, adding tables, or calling the AI Assistant, it’s all just a keystroke away.

Opening the Slash Menu

Simply type / while writing to open the menu. You can:
  • Type / in an empty block to see all available commands
  • Type / followed by a search term to filter options (e.g., /table, /ai, /heading)
  • Use it while editing a block to apply styles to that specific block
  • Select multiple blocks first to apply changes to all selected blocks

What You Can Do

The slash menu provides access to:
  • Text formatting – Headings, lists, quotes, and more
  • Media insertion – Images, videos, files, and embeds
  • Structural elements – Tables, pages, dividers, and page breaks
  • AI Assistant – Quick access to AI-powered features
  • Special blocks – Code blocks, equations, dates, and toggles
Changes made via the slash menu affect only the current block unless you’ve selected multiple blocks first.

Building Hierarchies

You can create pages within documents to organize large amounts of information into easy-to-navigate sub-documents. This makes complex content a joy to read and manage.
